ABRIDGE COURSE
The Abridge Course is designed for existing licence holders seeking conversion, upgrade, or alignment of their qualifications. Through a streamlined and efficient training structure, the programme ensures regulatory compliance while minimising training duration and optimising resource utilisation

Entry Requirements
Applicants must meet the following eligibility criteria to enrol in the CPL/IR with Frozen ATPL programme for the conversion of a foreign pilot licence to a CAAM issued licence

Applicants must have attained a minimum age of 17 years old
Completion of SPM, IGCSE, or equivalent, with a minimum of five (5) credits, including English, Mathematics, and Science subjects

Obtain a Letter of Approval from the Civil Aviation Authority of Malaysia (CAAM) together with academic qualifications
-
Successful completion of a Class I Medical Examination and possession of a valid medical certificate issued by a CAAM-Designated Medical Examiner (DME)

Successful completion of IATAC’s Harrison Assessment and interview
Ground School Training
IATAC provides comprehensive Ground School training covering the CAAM ATPL theoretical knowledge syllabus, as required for the issuance of the CPL/IR

Total ground school duration: 800 hours
